The Diesel Group provide loco crews for most of the diesel hauled services on the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway.
After a few months of regular work on the locomotive fleet, you will be given the opportunity to train as a locomotive crew member.
Starting as a traction trainee, you will require to complete 5 turns as an observer to get a general idea of the tasks and skills required to operate a locomotive. After instruction and testing on the practicalites of being a Second Man, you will then have to complete 20 turns before going forward for driver training.
