Built in 1958, 08 443 has spent its entire working life in Scotland at a variety of different depots. It was sold by BR in 1985 to Scottish Grain Distillers at Cambus and was subsequently donated to the SRPS in 1993 when rail traffic ceased

The loco recently hauled two special services with D2767 at the September Diesel Gala 2007 from Bo'ness to Kinneil Halt

A general overhaul has now been started and it is hoped to return the loco to service later this year
