At Bo'ness, there is alway plenty to do with tasks to suit all skill levels and we always welcome new recruits.
To join the group, the only requirements are an enthusiasm for modern traction, and current SRPS membership.
Whilst basic DIY skills and common sense are a distinct advantage, no specialist engineering experience is necessary as training will be given where required. The repair, overhaul and maintenance of our fleet involves engineering, mechanical, electrical, joinery, metalwork, welding, painting so there will always be the opportunity to learn new skills.
Railway locomotives, by their nature are dirty & oily beasts so expect to get your hands dirty when at Bo'ness (we do have washing facilities!). Overalls and stout footwear are a therefore a must.
